Use this article to confirm that your account uses Microsoft Authenticator push notifications for multi-factor authentication (MFA), add Microsoft Authenticator if it is missing, and remove devices you no longer own.

Supported method

Microsoft Authenticator push notification is the supported MFA method. Email verification, SMS/text message verification, and manually entered one-time codes are no longer supported for routine sign-ins.
